TCSO arrests Albany woman for identity fraud

TIFTON — An Albany woman was arrested Tuesday for identity fraud.

According to Lt. Col. Bobby Brannen with the Tift County Sheriff’s Office, Investigator Adam Tanner said the investigation division was made aware of the recovery of several social security cards, identification cards and EBT cards that were in the possession of Diana Konava McClendon, 40, of 555 Ebony Lane in Albany.

He said during the investigation, Tanner was able to determine that several of the cards belonged to family members and McClendon possessed them with their permission. There were two social security cards that she possessed without permission of the persons that the cards were issued to.

After receiving this information, Tanner took two arrest warrants and charged McClendon with identity fraud/theft. She has been released on a $4,000 bond.
