The Tift County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant Friday at a residence on Oak Street, which led to three arrests.
Lt. Col. Bobby Brannen with the TCSO said there was stolen property recovered at the residence. This lead to the arrest of Devonte Marquis Riggins, 17, of 2101 Oak Ave., who’s currently being charged with burglary, theft by receiving stolen property and identity fraud/theft; Michael Lee Riggins, 22, of 2101 Oak Ave., who’s currently being charged with identity fraud/theft and theft by receiving stolen property; and a 16-year-old juvenile, who’s currently being charged with two counts of burglary.
Investigators recovered cell phones, car keys, a check book, medications, electronic items and a handgun, Brannen said. A pink and white 125cc ATV reported stolen in the burglaries had been recovered previously at this same residence. These items were reported stolen to the sheriff’s office between Aug. 20-26.
Brannen said the investigation is ongoing and could lead to additional charges being filed.
Investigators Adam Tanner and Christi Brannon are assigned these cases.
