Tift County Boys Tip-Off Club is hosting an “on the floor demonstration” coaching clinic Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A great coaching lineup will be in attendance to conduct this clinic, including Brian Gregory, head men’s coach at Georgia Tech; Mike Helfer, head men’s coach at Valdosta State; Travis Williams, head men’s coach at Tennessee State; Robert Moore, head men’s coach at Columbus State; Gordon Gibbons, Top 3 winningest coach in DII Florida Southern and Clayton State; Dr. Aaron Geter, head men’s coach at Wilkinson County; Christian Laettner, college basketball legend and owner of Christian Laettner Basketball Academy; Chris Cameron, head men's coach at Albany State; and Jamie Fernandez, owner/operator of Impact Gym. Tift’s coaching staff will also have a demonstration of Tift County’s individual workout. Former players will demonstrate skills and exercises for the speakers.
The clinic will focus on the professional development of coaches. The goal is to help improve all coaches as professionals to better serve student-athletes. A large turnout is expected.
The clinic will be located at Tift County High School's gym. The clinic registration fee will be $40 per person or $100 per staff. Lunch will be sponsored by Chick-fil-A.
