Nelle Brister

TIFTON — Nelle Warren Brister, 90, of Tifton, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Tifton.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, at Oakridge Cemetery in Tifton, with Elder Walter Craig DeLoach II and Elder Tom Deal officiating.  The family will receive friends from 9-10:30 a.m, Saturday, at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors.

She was born Feb. 3, 1923, in Lincoln County, Miss., to Fred Warren Sr. and Mae Calcote Warren, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Linus Reeves and Wylie Charles Brister, as well as four brothers.  She was a homemaker and a beautician.  Mrs. Brister was a member of the Tifton Primitive Baptist Church.

Mrs. Brister is survived by one daughter, Diane R. Lewis of Tifton; one step-son, Glen (Dianelle) Brister of Brookhaven, Miss.; one sister, Lucille Shelton of Brookhaven; two grandchildren, Alan Lewis of Tifton and Joanne (Walt) DeLoach of Ambrose; four great-grandchildren, Mason Lewis and Aeriel Lewis, both of Tifton, and Austin DeLoach and Joseph DeLoach, both of Ambrose; and a niece, Ginger (Lloyd) Copeland of Tifton.
