Ralph Daniel “Dan” Hayes

SYCAMORE — Memorial services for Mr. Ralph Daniel “Dan” Hayes, 71, of Sycamore will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn. Mr. Hayes passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.

The son of the late Marlow Hayes and Irene Royston Hayes Brown, he was born in Royston and had lived in the Atlanta area before moving to Turner County seventeen years ago. He was retired from The Fulton County Building and Maintenance Department. He was a member of The Inaha Baptist Church in Turner County and the South Georgia Beagle Club.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Oliver Hayes of Sycamore; his sons, Casey (Lee) Hayes of McDonough, Timothy Hayes of Centre, Ala., Johnny (Tammy) Pate of Ashburn and Josh (Joy) Pate of Rochelle; his grandchildren, Amanda (Craig) Ferrill and Amy Hayes both of McDonough, Billy D. Hayes of Forsyth, Anna Pate of Bethlehem, Laina Lee Pate and Lauryn Pate both of Rochelle, Alex and Nicholas Lassiter of Ashburn; his great-grandchildren, Steven Ferrill, Payton Ferrill and Paxton Ferrill all of McDonough. He is also survived by his sister, Gloria Cooke of Riverdale.

The family will receive friends at the residence, 1060 Bell RD, Sycamore following the services Saturday.
