Tift tennis teams trample Thomasville

TIFTON —  The Tift County Blue Devil tennis teams posted a double shutout Monday against the Thomasville Bulldogs at Thomasville

For the boys, Collin Summerlin defeated D.J. Hufstettler, 6-0, 6-0. Quay Clark won over H. Green, 6-1, 6-0 and another dominant performance was turned in by Bailey Lawson, who defeated Z. Johnson, 6-0, 6-0. Double competition went similarly, Matt Marsh and Dillon Kemeness winning over N. Luudecke and D. Howard, 6-1, 6-2 and Adam Sattler and his partner defeating Jimmy Johnson and P. Jackson 6-0, 6-1.

Keri Lee Futch kept her opponent off the scoreboard in a 6-0, 6-0 victory. Jordan Hill defeated A. Barrett 6-0, 6-3 and Taylor Whitehead as No. 1 singles won over K. Johnson 6-3, 6-1.

In doubles, Heather Sattler and Rebekah Crumley beat S. Roberson and E. Dukes, 6-0, 6-0 and Megan Bowen and Rachel Wall won over T. McCorkle and K. Jones, 6-0, 6-1.

Tift had a scheduled match with Lowndes Tuesday and will be at the Lowndes Invitational this weekend.
