Death Notices for January 8

John William Buchan Sr., 69, of Ambrose died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later. Among his survivors are one son, John William Buchan Jr. of Ambrose; and one daughter, Rhonda DeAnn Bishop of Canton. Elton Lloyd Copeland, 65, of Griffin (formerly of Tifton) died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Eastside Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Albritton – Beaumont Funeral Directors. Among his survivors is his wife, Virginia Shelton Copeland of Griffin. Elizabeth Stevens Duckworth Smith, 84, of Evans (formerly of Tifton) died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at Washington Commons Independent Living in Evans. Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced later by Albritton – Beaumont Funeral Directors. Among her survivors  is her daughter, Janice Stevens of Dublin; three sons, Charles E. Martha Stewart, 84, of Tifton died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Southview Mortuary Inc. Professional care and services are entrusted to Southview Mortuary Inc.
