Jesse “Alan” Johnston

DOUGLASVILLE — Jesse “Alan” Johnston, 56, of Douglasville passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Rosehaven Chapel with Dr. John Pennington officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnston was born June 10, 1957 in Tifton. He was a tax examiner with the Georgia Department of Revenue. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Douglasville, where he was a choir member, served as a Sunday School teacher in the children’s ministry and coached Upward Baseball. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayland and Judy Gibbs Johnston.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Janine Johnston; sister, Judy Weldon and her husband, Kenny; nephews, Ken Weldon and Matt Weldon; niece, Wendy Holliday; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Cheryl Wanke.
