TIFTON — More than 50 runners, joggers and walkers from the Tiftarea survived the cold and rain of New Year’s Day morning to participate in the 27th annual Resolution Run. The event is sponsored by the Sunbelt Running Club and encourages runners to begin the new year with a resolution of running and exercising. The winner of the event is not the fastest runner but the one with the best poker hand. Participants ran and walked distances up to 6 miles with runners receiving a card for each mile they completed. The 2014 winner was Stephanie McGee with a straight: 8,9,10,J,Q.
