Third annual ‘Run for the Nurses’ April 5 at ABAC

TIFTON — The School of Nursing and Health Sciences will hold the third annual “Run for the Nurses” event on April 5 at the Red Hill Athletic Center on the campus of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.  

The event includes a one-mile fun walk/run, 5K run, and a one-half marathon. The 5K and one-half marathon will begin at 7:30 a.m., and the one-mile fun walk/run will take place at 8:30 a.m.  All proceeds benefit the Lisa Purvis Allison Spirit of Nursing Scholarship Fund which assists in the education of future nurses.

Runners can participate for a cost of $15 for the one-mile run, $30 for the 5K, and $40 for the one-half marathon.   Interested participants can register online at www.active.com or at http://www.abac.edu/academics/schools/nursing/ for a printable registration form.  Online pre-registration ends on April 1. Runners can still register on race day.
