Joy Explosion

SYCAMORE — Bethel Baptist Church will hold its Joy Explosion camp March 1 from 9 a.m. until noon for first -sixth grade students with bowling to follow. For more information contact Jenny Kendrick or call the church office at 567-4090.


Women of the Bible

TIFTON — Luella Krieger will bring to life women of the Bible at two seperate services March 2. The first service will be held at 11 a.m. at Trinity UMC, 603 Belmont Ave. The second service will be held at 5 p.m. at Brookfield UMC, 2470 US Hwy 82 East. A different woman will be portrayed each time. Admission is free but a love offering will be taken.



TIFTON — Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2110 S. Park Ave., will celebrate its deacon and deaconess anniversary at 2 p.m. March 2. The Rev. Frankie Mathis and Travelers Missionary Baptist Church family will be in charge of the service. Dinner will served at 1 p.m. Beginning March 2, hours of service will change to Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and Worship Service at 11 a.m. The Rev. William D. Harvey Sr. is the pastor. If transportation is needed call 229-646-9965 or 229-382-5204.



TIFTON — Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 709 S. Ridge Ave., will be celebrating homecoming at 11 a.m. March 2. For more information call 229-386-8754. The Reverend Frankie Mathis is pastor.


Communion and Foot washing

TIFTON — In remembrance of those who have come and gone, tribute from family and friends who wish to reflect will be held Sunday at  Philadelphia COGIC, 4423 Hwy 319 S. Communion and feet washing will follow. Pastor and Elder Cullen, overseers.



ENIGMA — Mount Zion Ministries, Norris Street, will hold revival services at 6 p.m. March 2 and at 7 p.m. March 3-5. The guest speaker will be Shane Calhoun of Chatsworth. Pastor Marvin Williams and congregation invite everyone to attend.



OMEGA — Omega Church of God will hold revival services at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. March 2. Services will continue at  7 p.m. March 3-5. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Ann Braswell. pastor Joe Crews and congregation invite everyone to attend.

    LEOs and first responders honored at banquet

    A room full of local law enforcement and first responders were honored Thursday night by the Tifton Elks Lodge at their annual Public Safety Officer Appreciation and Awards Banquet for their service in the community.
    Prior to the awards being given out, Louise Spradley, who organized the banquet, welcomed everyone, and the invocation and pledge were led by the Tift County Sheriff's Office Honor Guard.
