Food Carnival
TIFTON — Allen Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1908 South Park Ave., will hold a food carnival Feb. 8 from 10 a.m.  until 2 p.m. Various groups will have baked goods, sandwiches, candy apples and other assorted goodies. The carnival is being sponsored by the Founder's Day Committee led by Sisters Zealine Davenport, Tara Harris and Erma Edwards. The pastor is the Rev. Jermaine D. Harris.
 
Birthday Sing
ADEL — The 27th annual birthday sing in memory of the Rev. R.V. Williams and in honor of the Rev. Ken Williams will be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 8 at Beulah Holiness Baptist Church. Special guests will be Naomi and the Segos, Mark Fuller, Logan Smith, New Tradition and Joyce Croft. Admission is free, a love offering will be received. Women’s Conference
FITZGERALD — Outrageous and contagious women’s conference will be held from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Grand Theatre in Fitzgerald. Special guest will be Dove/Grammy award-winning artist Laura Story, International speaker, author and co-founder of “Girlfriends in God” Mary Southerland and Team Radiate: Amanda Hayes, Tammy Arant and Joyce Ashley. Black History Program
BROOKFIELD — Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 105 Brookfield/Lenox Rd.  will hold its annual Black History program at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 9. The speaker will be the Rev. Emanuel Brown of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Adel. For more information call 229-556-9035.
 
Founders Day
TIFTON — St. John Holiness Church, 2910 6th Ave., will observe its founders day, Chief Apostle Bishop Nick Hightower Sr. of House of God Saints in Christ at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 9. The pastor is Bishop Walter Walker Jr.
 
Black History Celebration
TIFTON — Cherry Grove Free Will Baptist Church will celebrate Black History at 4 p.m. Feb. 15.  The theme for the program will be "Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present and Inspiring the Future."  Pastor Phill Morris Jr of Bethel Baptist in Adel will be the guest speaker.  Bishop Willie Prather is pastor and the public is invited to attend.
