Shirley Ann Hood Brewington

TIFTON — Shirley Ann Hood Brewington, 68, of Tifton died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The Rev. Glenn Fussell will officiate with burial to follow at Oakridge Cemetery.

Billy Reeves, Joey Hancock, William Hood, Timmy Hood, Jamie Griner and Charles Hood will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Brewington was born on Feb. 18, 1945 in Tifton and was the daughter of William Craven Hood and Florine Vera Griffin Hood, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by two brothers. She was a homemaker and a member of Midway Church of God in Irwin County.

Mrs. Brewington is survived by a son, Chris Wilson of Tifton; two brothers, Larry Hood of Tifton and Tony Hood of Tallahassee, Fla.; and five sisters, Charlotte Lovell of Cordele, Barbara Lovell of Cordele, Kay Rizer of Tifton, Mary Jo Griner of Baconton and Diane Pitts of Tifton.

Services for the Brewington family are under the care and direction of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
