From Ga. DOT: Northbound lanes of I-75 closed due to accident, traffic detoured

TIFTON — Where: Interstate 75 north at milepost 63.8 (between Exit 63 and U.S. Highway 41)

What: A motor vehicle accident has closed all northbound lanes of Interstate 75. Traffic is being routed off I-75 at Exit 63, onto Whiddon Mill Road, to Carpenter Road and then to Zion Hope Road. Traffic is being let back onto I-75 at Exit 64. Lanes are expected to be closed for the next three or four hours. Detours are being maintained by local law enforcement and the Georgia State Patrol. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to be patient, drive slowly and exercise extreme caution in the area.
