Stolen semi found – minus the tires

TIFTON —  A stolen semi-truck was found without any tires early this week off of Hunt Road.

A 2014 International Pro-Star semi valued at $145,000 was stolen from Yancey Truck Center on Carpenter Road either Monday night or early Tuesday morning, according to Lt. Col. Bobby Brannen with the Tift County Sheriff's Office.

He said officers with the Tifton Police Department located the truck off of Hunt Road. Eight tires and wheels valued at $8,000 had been taken off of the truck. There was additional damage to the truck that was estimated at $12,000.

Sgt. Cliff Henderson has been assigned this case. Anyone with information is asked to contact him or the Criminal Investigation Division at 388-6021.
