128 gaming machines confiscated

TIFTON — Monday's raid on several local convenience stores resulted in 128 gaming machines being confiscated by law enforcement, according to Tift County Sheriff Gene Scarbrough. The Tifton Gazette previously reported that search warrants were served at 13 businesses, three residences, one storage facility and one office location. Five arrests were made for felony counts of commercial gambling, as well as other related gambling charges.
