Theresa Lynn Barnes Thomas

TIFTON — Theresa Lynn Barnes Thomas, 52, of Tifton died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The Rev. Rickey Wells will officiate with burial to follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. Her cousins and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Mrs. Thomas was born Sept. 12, 1961 in Tifton and was the daughter of James Barnes and Joyce Ethridge Barnes, both deceased.

She was a homemaker and also worked as a waitress.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband, Robert Thomas of Tifton; one son, Jacob Purvis of Omega; two sisters, Wendy Barnes and Hollie Barnes, both of Tifton; an aunt, Elaine Barnes Lindsey; an uncle, Wayne Ethridge and wife Nancy; a niece, Brittany Hurst; a nephew, Sabastian Eason; and a great-nephew, Jayce Hurst.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, 323 Pine Avenue, Suite 100, Albany, GA 31701.

Condolences may be sent to the family at the online guest registry at www.bowen-donaldson.com. Services for the Thomas family are under the care and direction of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
