Bobby Joe Sumner

ASHBURN — Funeral services for Bobby Joe Sumner, 74 will be held at 11 a.m. today at Perry Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Tift Memorial Gardens in Tifton. Mr. Sumner died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at his residence. The family will receive friends today from 10 a.m. until time of services.

Mr. Sumner was a native of Chula, the son of the late Walter Emerson and Winnie Mae Jordan Sumner. He was a long time of resident of Turner County and was retired Owner and Operator of Sumner Wheel Alignment. He had served in the U. S. Army and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Sikes Sumner of Ashburn; a son, Joey (Karen) Sumner of Tifton; two daughters, Paige (Al) Stephenson of Tifton and Melissa (Charles) Dillard, of TyTy; his grandchildren, Rachel Sumner Ramsey, Hannah Sumner, Haley Dillard, Charley Dillard, Luke Stephenson, Sumner Stephenson, Isaac Stephenson and Rhett Stephenson; and one great-grandchild, Nicholas Ramsey.
