TGA performs well at Made in the USA

TIFTON — Tift Gymnastics Academy competed at the Made in the USA Invitational over the weekend at Athens. TGA’s Level 8 team won first place and Level 5 took 3rd place in the competition.

At Level 9, Anna Sumner won 1st place on the beam and floor exercise, 2nd place in the all-around competition and on vault and 3rd on uneven bars. Khloe Parker took 2nd on vault and and beam in her age division.

For the No. 1 Level 8 squad, Elyssa Roberts won 1st place all-around, 2nd on vault and bars and 3rd on floor and beam. Kaylee MacDonald won 1st place on bars and vault, 2nd on beam and floor and 2nd in the all-around. Lindsay MacDonald took 1st in the all-around, bars and balance beam, 2nd in the vault and 3rd in floor. Emily Futch won 2nd on beam. McKenzie Carpenter won 3rd place on vault.

Charlotte Robinson took her 1st place on vault in Level 7. For Level 5, Lauren Klofach came in 1st place in the all-around competition and on the uneven bars and 3rd on vault and floor. Grace Clements scored 1st on vault. Emma Grace Bryan took 1st place on bars and floor and placed 3rd in her all-around. In her age division, Sarah Clinton came in strong with a 2nd place on beam and 3rd on floor. Caroline Branch was 2nd in the Level 4 vault event and for TGA’s Level 3, Brayden Callison won 1st bars, 2nd floor and 3rd all-around. Rebecca James won 1at all-around, 2nd on bars, beam and floor and was 3rd on vault.

TGA coaches, Benjamin Ledl and Jessica King will next lead the team to more competition in Atlanta.
