Carolee Smith Buffington


Carolee  Smith Buffington entered into rest on June 21, 2014, at 98 years old. She was born in Warwick on April 16, 1916. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vester B. and Emmie Scott Odom. She had two husbands, Charlie Walter Smith of Enigma (1980) and Joseph Buffington of Lithonia (1996). 
She is survived by her five children, Jackie Ogle (Harold, deceased) of Eatonton, Joyce Bryant (David) of Johns Creek, Terry Smith (Laura) of Smyrna, Phillip Smith (Maria) of Lakeland Fla., and Joanna Davis (Manis) of Thomson. She had 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She lived 97 years independently, aided by her loving caregiver, Dina Greenway. She was best known for her love of her faith, her family and her flowers.
Graveside services will be at 11 am June 28, 2014 at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker.
