Katherleen Mae “Kat” Reagan Shiver

MOULTRIE — Katherleen Mae “Kat” Reagan Shiver, 97, of Moultrie, died Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Southern Care Assisted Living in Tifton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Dennard Robison, Louie Chastain, D.L. Scoggins, J.R. Scoggins, Gettis Wingate, Torey Wingate and Kyle Shiver. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Wednesday at First Baptist Church Chapel.

Born September 9, 1916 in Ochlocknee, she was the daughter of the late Joe Mae and Annie Ida Roberson Reagan. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was active in the Christian Women’s Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Eugene Shiver; two brothers, Bill Reagan and Austin Reagan; and one sister, Evelyn Robison.

Survivors include two sons, Gene Shiver Jr. and wife Carla of Collinsville, Ill. and Joe Shiver and wife Karen of Rockford, Ill.; one daughter, Judy Griffin and husband David of Tifton; two sisters, Lillian Wingate and husband Junior of Doerun and Alvis Nesmith of Ochlocknee; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Tift Area, 104 W. 8th St., Tifton, GA 31794.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
