Jerry William Hobbs Jr.

TIFTON — Jerry William Hobbs Jr., 55, of Tifton died Sunday, June 15, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The Rev. Roger Tucker will officiate with burial to follow at Tift Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites. Bert Connell, John Henderson III, Charles Courson, Fate Miller, Brett Beery and Joseph Sawyer will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Tifton Masonic Lodge #47. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Mr. Hobbs was born October 12, 1958 in Elizabethtown, Ky. and was the son of Jerry William and Doretha Skaggs Hobbs Sr., both deceased. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Eddie Kenneth Williams. He graduated from Moultrie Tech and was employed with Werner Enterprises and formerly as a draftsman at Master Craft. He was a member of the Tifton Council No. 58, the Coastal Plain Commandry No. 42, a Shriner at the Hasan Temple in Albany, a member of Scottish Rite in Albany, the Tifton Masonic Lodge No. 47, the Tifton Chapter No. 47 and the Tift Area Daylight Lodge No. 745.

Mr. Hobbs is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy William and Laura Hobbs of Tifton.
