LAS VEGAS, Nev. — William Hayes Hurd Jr. of Las Vegas, Nev. died Thursday, June 5, 2014 following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday at Perry Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of service. Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Hurd; sons, Robert Hurd of Ashburn, Michael Hurd of Riverside, Calif.,William H Hurd III of Murrietta, Calif., Peter Vinson of Anaheim, Calif.; and daughter, Clacel Reyes of Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Shirley Ann Richards, Angela Diane Paige, and Sandra Kay Hurd, all of Ashburn. Rosters, voodoo doctors topics at Kickoff to Men’s Health
In addition to the local football coaches speaking Saturday at the Tift Regional Medical Center's Men's Health Event at the YMCA, three others from the area also spoke, Buddy Nobles of Irwin County, John Gamble of Turner County and Jason Strickland of Fitzgerald. Discussions ranged from the more conventional topics of scrimmages and rosters to stranger mentions of voodoo doctors.
