Tift Regional to hold Women’s DIY Day

Tift Regional Health System will host a free Women’s DIY Day June 7,  from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Tift Regional Community Events Center.

“Life is like a pie for women – everybody wants a piece of their time and resources,” said Judy Shiflet, TRHS community relations coordinator.  “We are telling ladies not to lose themselves to the fray. Tift Regional Health System wants to help women become more well-rounded  with DIY Day. Join us for this free event offering workshops on a range of life topics. There will also be information booths, giveaways and refreshments.”

Shiflet said the event will include speakers, demonstrations and exhibits on canning basics, reducing energy costs, couponing, crochet/knitting, landscaping/gardening, flower arranging, identity theft prevention, finance tips, furniture refinishing and health and wellness tips.

“The event, a part of Tift Regional’s Rejuvenate Women’s Health Series, is an open house and no registration is required,” said Shiflet. “All women are encouraged to attend. It will be a great morning of education, inspiration and fun.”

The Tift Regional Community Events Center is located in Tifton at 1657 S. Carpenter Road, adjacent to the Tiftarea YMCA.  For more information, call 229-353-6316 or visit www.tiftregional.com.
