Rants & Raves - December 3

I was at my son’s home today and he had a visit from a code enforcement officer named Houston. He was polite and professional. My son took care of the problem on the spot. I see why Tifton is called The Friendly City. In Florida, let me tell you the officers are not  the same. Keep up the good work, Tifton.
I would like to say a special thank you to the city of Tifton men who worked long and hard to get the Christamas lights up in the park. The whole community enjoys them! Thank you!!
Is all the violence on Black Friday really worth it? Is getting that great deal worth someone’s life, or time behind bars and fines? It's all just things. The goal is to have a wonderful and happy holiday. Being greedy and selfish is what it's come to for some people. That's so sad. That people care more about things than what the true meaning of the holidays is suppose to be about. Merry Christmas and happy birthday, Jesus.
It is time for us all to put on a Phrygian cap and take back our liberty that has been stolen from us all.
I loved, loved, loved the article on Thanksgiving where you asked some local children how to cook a turkey. That was wonderful and it was certainly great to open up that front page and see positive news on a holiday. Thank you, Gazette staff.
I agree with the person who said that Central Avenue, just past 28th Street, needs to be fixed. I live in that neighborhood too and it is just a disgrace that it has gone more than a year. Those potholes need to be fixed. Mr. Mayor, tell your people to jump on that, please.
