Jeanita “Nita” Clark Kelly

ROCHELLE — Funeral services for Jeanita “Nita” Clark Kelly, 86, of Rochelle will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn. Mrs. Kelly passed away Friday at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton. Interment will follow at Morningside Cemetery in Rochelle.

Mrs. Kelly was the daughter of the late William Reginald Clark and Winnifred Juanita Hunt Peebles and was born in Rochelle. She was retired and was a homemaker and mother, and has lived in Ashburn for a long number of years. A member of Ashburn First United Methodist Church in Ashburn, she enjoyed reading, cooking, crocheting and being with her grandchildren and their families. She was the widow of Ernest Louis Kelly Jr.

Survivors include her children, Jean Walters of Jacksonville, Fla., Marianan “Nan” (Andrew) Murphy of Knoxville, Tenn., Tami Kelly of Tifton, Ernest “Skeeter” (Diane) Kelly of Sycamore and W. Clark Kelly of Tifton; her brothers, William L. Clark of Abbeville, Alfred Joe Clark of Athens, Carl S. Clark of Tampa, Fla. and Virgil Hugh Clark of Abbeville; her half-sisters, Sue Wilson of Abbeville, Jean Heintz of Demorest and Yvonne Lovett of Fitzgerald; a half-brother, David Clark of Abbeville; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren with one more great-grandchild to be born in July.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 tonight at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn.
