Rant and Raves for April 8

I agree with the person about the train by-pass. I live in Chula across the street from the tracks. They blow their whistle so loud it is damaging to your hearing. It also wakes you up all night long. It wouldn't be so bad if they would just tone down the noise of the whistle


The Blue Devil baseball game Friday night was super! They won and improved their record, but more importantly the boys learned a lesson about what is important in life. Players and loved ones honored those who are battling or have battled breast cancer. Those ladies throwing and rolling the pitches out were heart warming. A mom and son from the other team were included which showed that it is not just about baseball. Kudos to coaches Kirk, Williams, Guzman, McAllister and the others I don't know, as well as and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Carter. You are all teaching those boys how to be great men!!


As a parent of a student in the Tift County School System, I am appalled at what students can do on a school campus. They receive such a minor punishment, and are allowed to continue in extra curricular activities. Are we just out to win or do we care about building the character of our young athletes???
