South Georgia Banking Company adds Tifton native Cutts

TIFTON —

South Georgia Banking Company announces the addition of Chris Cutts as a vice-president at the bank’s Tift Avenue location in Tifton. Cutts, a Tifton native, brings both business and banking experience to his new position.

"I was attracted to South Georgia Banking Company's dedication to the community and their employees. Being part of a locally-owned small business is important to me, especially one with a reputation like South Georgia Banking Company. For over 40 years, they have been known leaders in the market." Cutts said. "I look forward to continuing my involvement with the community and the chamber, while driving new business across our current markets."

Glenn Willis, president of South Georgia Banking Company, said combination of business experience and banking experience delivers a lot of value to customers.

“Chris’ solid business experience, along with his banking background, fit perfectly with our focus of working with small businesses.  His experience, combined with his local knowledge, means he will be able to hit the ground running,” said Willis. “We are fortunate to bring someone of his caliber to our team.”

Cutts, an Auburn University graduate with a BS in Finance, has five years of commercial lending and banking experience along with 12 years business experience. He is an active member of the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce and was named the 2013 Chamber Ambassador of the Year. He is a member of the Len Lastinger Primary School Parent’s Council/Advisory board and is a youth sports coach with the Tift County Recreation Department, Tiftarea YMCA and Northside Baptist’s Upward Basketball program.

South Georgia Banking Company, with locations in Tifton, Omega, Moultrie, Ashburn, Cordele and Vienna, works with area businesses, farmers and individuals to provide loans and other banking services.

“From business and agriculture loans to help growth and expansion to personal loans and mortgages, our officers provide customized banking solutions, ” said Willis. “Each officer takes a personal interest in our customers. It’s part of what makes a community bank different.”

Cutts and his wife, the former Laura Abbott, have one daughter, nine-year-old Kylei, a student at Len Lastinger.  The family attends Northside Baptist Church in Tifton.
