Meetings Etc. – June 6


• Board of Trustees of the Coastal Plain Regional Library System will host its quarterly regional board meeting June 10 at 4:30 p.m. in the Tifton regional  library, located at 2014 Chestnut Ave., Tifton.
• Kids’ Advocacy Coalition afterschool program will hold its annual board meeting June 16 at 4:30 p.m. at the United Way Community Center. Call 382-9919 for information.
• Unionville community town hall meeting will be held at 6 p.m. June 17 at 2737 S. Central Ave. to discuss a possible railroad crossing in that area to help with flooding. For more information, call Melissa Hughes at 326-0241 or e-mail melissa.hughes@tiftcounty.org.
• The next Ocilla/Irwin County town hall meeting with Sen. Tyler Harper, Rep. Jay Roberts, Commissioner Joey Whitley, Mayor Horace Hudgins and the Irwin Board of Education will be held at 6 p.m. June 26 at the Ocilla Community House. One major topic of discussion is requirements for building a youth center. All citizens are urged to attend.
• Tift County Board of Health will not meet the first week in July because of the July 4 holiday. The meeting will be held Aug. 6 at 1:45 p.m. at the Tift County Health Department, 305 East 12th Street.
