Callison vaults to championship for TGA

TIFTON — Tift Gymnastics Academy recently participated at the Level 3, 4 and 5 state championship in Savannah. With several athletes representing them, they brought home state glory.

TGA’s Level 3 gymnast Brayden Callison is the 2014 state vault champion with a score of 9.525; she also placed 2nd on beam, 3rd on bars and 4th all-around. 

Rebecca James placed 2nd on vault with a 9.55, 3rd on bars and 4th all-around with a 37.025.  Courtney Harper also competed at state this year for the first time, making her first 9.0 on vault.

Kindal Culpepper placed 5th on beam competing in Level 4.  In Level 5, Sarah Clinton also competed at the 2014 state championships.  

Tift Gymnastics Academy’s athletes are now working on new skills to prepare for next season. TGA is located in Tifton at 732 E. 5th Street.
