Rants & Raves - May 27

Sad to say but glad I don't own an American car, especially a GM product.
Shame on you, Tift County Board of Education for having the ROTC trip to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island cancelled the day before school is out! Your callous disregard for this excellent program and the students involved is disgraceful! The students involved in this program are not out vandalizing the school. These young people have more integrity than many of the adults making decisions about their education. You could learn a lot from them. Rather than beating the tar out of each other on the football field these students are actually learning about honor, respect, being responsible, and true team work. I am absolutely disgusted with your actions and disrespect.
My wife bought several items of produce at a local farmer's market that turned out to be rather old and tasteless. I thought the idea of a farmer's market was to offer fresh, locally-grown produce but am wondering if some of these folks aren't just buying stuff on the commercial market and reselling it at farmer's markets. If so, they aren't doing their market any favors.
