Betty Jo Feagin Rousey

TIFTON — Betty Jo Feagin Rousey, 76, of Tifton died Sunday, May 11, 2014, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Liberty Baptist Church. The Rev. Gary Cadwell, the Rev. Gerald Purvis and the Rev. Steve Tucker will officiate with burial to follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

Larry Brady, Milton Rousey, Ricky Dean, Mark Dean, Jimmy Roberts and Tommy Feagin will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at TRMC and the Women's Adult Sunday school class at Liberty Baptist Church. Mrs. Rousey will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Rousey was born on July 28, 1937 in Tift County and was the daughter of Jessie Warren Feagin and Mary Renner Sturdivant Feagin, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, W.A. "Archie" Rousey; three brothers, C.L. Feagin, Junior Feagin and Lynward Feagin; and two sisters, Catherine Brady and Lois McEntyre. She retired from TRMC after 23 years of service and, in 2002, became a volunteer with the TRMC Auxiliary as a Pink Lady. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Mrs. Rousey is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael David and Janie Rousey of Tifton and Stacey Rousey of Tifton; a sister, Kathleen Roberts of Tifton; two grandchildren, Bridgett Rousey and Joshua Rousey and wife Hannah Rousey; and a great-grandchild, Lena Rousey.
