Carolyn Summerall Pheil

CORDELE — Funeral services for Carolyn Summerall Pheil, 61, of Cordele will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at Sycamore Baptist Church in Sycamore with burial to follow at Harmony Cemetery. Ms. Pheil died at her residence Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, following an illness.

She was born in Fort Rucker, Ala., the daughter of Kenneth H. Summerall and the late Betty Theresa Whiddon Summerall. She was of the Baptist faith and was an office manager for Dr. David Kavtaradze in Cordele.

Survivors include her daughters, Melody Anne Sims of Huntsville, Ala. and Noel (Andrew) Guelker of Collinsville, Ill.; a stepson, Brian Pheil of Atlanta; father, Kenneth, and stepmother, Hazel Summerall, of Sycamore; a brother, Glen R. Summerall of Cullman, Ala.; grandchildren, Laiken Elizabeth Davis of Columbus, Quinten Hunter Sharpe, David (R.J.) Reynolds, Ty Reece Reynolds, all of Collinsville, Ill., and Lochlyn Jandl Pritchett of Huntsville, Ala.; a great-grandchild, Andilyn Noelle Davis of Columbus; a stepbrother, Mike (Sheila) Rice of Ashburn; and a stepsister Debbie (Bruce) Free of Sycamore.

The family may be contacted at the home of Kenneth and Hazel Summerall at 461 Highway 32 E., Sycamore. There will be no visitation. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers please make donations to their humane society.
