Store clerk shot in Fitzgerald


The search continues for a man who shot a Fitzgerald store clerk during a holdup Monday night. He may be traveling in a semi.

The shooting took place at the 107 Express on Benjamin Hill Drive West. The man was reportedly armed with a silver handgun and was wearing a dark hoodie. 

The clerk, who was shot three times, was taken to Phoebe Dorminy Hospital in Fitzgerald. The clerk's condition is unknown at this time.

The shooter was described as in his late 20s. He drove away from the scene in a 53-foot trailer with "Western Express" written on the side.
