Wrestling tournament Saturday


The Tifton Takedown Wrestling Club will be hosting the USA wrestling tourney at Eighth Street Middle School Gym this Saturday. Coach Nick Hodnett will have his team ready for mat time to take on wrestlers from around the state in Tifton. 


This is an all day event. For parents in the region that need to register their wrestler go to Teamgeorgiawrestling.com. There is a $15 mat fee for all wrestlers. Come out and support your local wrestlers and watch the future of wrestling unfold in front of you. Age ranges are 5-14 years old, boys and girls.  
The event runs 8 a.m. 5 p.m., with a 7 a.m. weigh-in for the small kids, and  8 a.m. to noon start for the  little ones. Weigh-in for the older kids is at 11 a.m., with a start time of 1 p.m.
