Johnny B. Jones, 58 of Ty Ty died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John Baptist Church in Sunsweet with burial to follow  at Ty Ty Cemetery. A repast will conclude at Solomon Chapel AME Church social hall. Survivors include his wife, Vickie Jones; children, Johnny Jones Jr., Alex Burgess, Jeffery Jones and Kimberly Jones; and siblings, Helen Cook, Annie Lee Jones, Virginia Lewis, Faye Pitts, Mercedes Campbell, Annie Bailey, Danny Hill, Solomon Hill, Sam Hill, John Hill and Edward Jones. Martha Nixon,  85, of Tifton died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Beulah Hill Family Life Center with burial to follow at Oakridge Cemetery. A repast will conclude at the Neighborhood  Services Center. She is survived by her children, the Rev. Willie Nixon of Ovieda, Fla., Betty J. Sellers of Lenox, Jimmy Nixon of Tifton, Brenda Sears of Chula, Jackson W. Nixon III of McDonough, Martha Ann Hudson of Miami, Fla.. Randy Nixon of Atlanta, Gregory Nixon of Tifton, Regina Louis of Ft. Lashannon Hudson, 36, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Birth Tabernacle in Vienna.

Mary Alice Johnson, 73, of Tifton died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Carpenter Road Church of God with interment to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Survivors include her children, Richard Johnson, Andrea Johnson, Sharon Mathis, Zen Johnson and Adrian Johnson; adopted children, Erasmus Johnson, Quejion Johnson, Devasylyeah Johnson and Charlie Johnson; brother, Morris Morrow Sr.; and sisters, Christine Willis and Marion Morrow Cole. Arrangements have been entrusted to Taylor Family Funeral Service.

Burnice Wright Jr. 80 of Moultrie died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Charles United Methodist Church with burial to follow  at the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Wright of Moultrie. Evangelist Jessie Lee (Fish) Mills, 67, of Sparks died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014  at Tift Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at noon Saturday at Jim Battle Park in Adel. He is survived by his wife, Vernita Jackson; children, Michael Bennett, Calvin Mills, Daron Bennett, Isreal Mills, Thomas Bennett, Sharon Bennett, Shelah Bennett Askew, Renee Davis, Rachel Thomas and Jessica Mills. James B. "Jim" Reeves, 76, of Adel, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014 at Tift Regional Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Adel First Assembly of God, 601 Massee Post Road in Adel. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel. Mr. Reeves is survived by two sons, Jimmy Reeves of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and Joe Reeves of Hahira.
