Otis Coleman Sumler Jr.

TIFTON — Otis Coleman Sumler Jr., 55, of Tifton, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, in Nashville, Tenn. His remains are to be cremated, and services are to held in Tifton at a later date.

He was born in Portsmouth, Va., to the late Otis Coleman Sumler Sr. and Betty Lou Hann Sumler. Otis was also preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Sherman.

Otis is survived by two sons, Michael Wesley (Brandi) Sumler, of Quitman and William Ivey Sumler, of Dalton; one daughter, Tabatha Nichole (Jody) Long, of Clarksville, Tenn.; two brothers, Todd Alan Sumler, of Lenox, and Bruce Joyner, of Atlanta; and four grandchildren, Thad Alexander Long, Brittani Michelle Sumler, Brian Michael Sumler and Ryleigh Autumn Long.
