Reva Mae Tarrant

IRWIN COUNTY — Reva Mae Tarrant, 72, of Irwin County died Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Osceola Healthcare in Ocilla. Funeral services were held, at 11 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2013, at Holt Baptist Church in Irwin County with the Rev. David Biggers and the Rev. Ronald Reese officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Tarrant was born Sept. 25, 1941, in Georgia, to the late Bryant Hutcheson and Sallie Mae Lindsey Pettis. She lived in the community all of her life and was a member of Holt Baptist Church. Mrs. Tarrant loved her family dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Tarrant and two brothers.

She is survived by three sons, Bobby Lee and Joyce Tarrant of Ocilla, James J. “Buddy” Tarrant of Abbeville and John and Tina Tarrant of Tifton; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
