Jerry Lewis Moore

TIFTON — Jerry Lewis Moore, 46, of Tifton, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013 in Crittenden County, Ky.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Dillard Ensley and Clinton Moore officiating. Interment will follow Leila Methodist Church Cemetery in Colquitt County. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors.

Active pallbearers are Andy Gill, Howard Moore, Bucky Moore, Broc Moore, Darrell Moore and Craig Moore. Honorary pallbearers are Clinton Moore, Kenneth Moore, Michael Moore, Craig Moore, Mary Moore Dunn and Mike Dunn, Howard Moore, Darrell Moore, Harvey Moore, Greg Wilcox, Clayton Merritt, Ashley Clements, Jeffrey Griffin and the staff of Sakata Seed America.

Mr. Moore was born May 9, 1967 in Tifton to Loyd Houston and Carolyn Ann Land Moore of Tifton. He graduated from Tift County High School and ABAC with a degree in Agri-Business. Mr. Moore currently worked as the account manager for Sakata Seed America Inc. and was a former volunteer fireman in Waterloo. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting deer, turkey, quail and duck. He also enjoyed farming and football. His first loves were Jesus Christ, his children and his grandchildren. Mr. Moore was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his three children, Jessica Moore Merritt and Clayton of Tifton, Heidi Moore Wilcox and Greg of Fitzgerald and Mitchell Moore of Milledgeville; four grandchildren, Khloe Wilcox, Lawson Merritt, Sophia Wilcox and Madison Wilcox; eight brothers and seven sisters-in-law, Clinton and Susan Moore, Kenneth and Anita Moore, Ricky and Tonita Moore, Michael and Wendy Moore all of Tifton, Craig  and Vicki Moore of Barwick, Howard and Shelby Moore and Darrell and Sherri Moore all of Tifton and Harvey Moore of Columbus; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Moore Dunn and Mike of Macon; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, John Alex Moore.
