Rants & Raves - December 20

The city government is not a part of the Historic District. The district is its own entity which sets its own standards without regards to individuals within the district. If it is a "covenant," then each individual should be allowed to join (or not) within the district by choice.
Could someone please tell me how come wrecker services from Turner County are able to pick up wrecks and traffic stops in Tift County? It seems to me it is taking money from the wrecker services in Tift County. They’re the ones that pays the taxes here, not Turner County.
When reading this section I can't help but wonder if people realize there's a protocol for most of the things they put here. Did you bother to take the time to complain to the restaurant manager about the animal? Maybe it was a service dog, which is legal to have whether you like it or not. Did you tell the manager that server was fabulous? Do you take the time to attend meetings about your roads? Did you vote? Stating something in this forum is easier than putting forth the effort to make it better and reading it here doesn't mean the right person gets the message.
It is also simple to understand what a tiny few in the Historic District want: their will imposed on others. There are changes coming in the district just as there have been changes to our country over hundreds of years. A suggestion to those who wish to continue living 100 years ago is to move to and Amish community where they live happily in that era. But those of us in the 21st century prefer changes to better our lives. The constitution has changed too. Would it have been better to leave it as is and stay in "ignorant bliss?”
