Thomas Edgar Cantrell


Thomas Edgar Cantrell passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013. A memorial service will be held today in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. He was born Sept. 20, 1955 in Albany. He grew up in Tifton and graduated from Tift County High School in 1973. He attended Abraham Baldwin College and Life Chiropractic College. Tommy served as General Manager for The Georgia Department of Natural Resources at George T. Bagby State Park in Ft. Gaines until his retirement due to illness.
He was a master chef and had a passion for cooking and entertaining. He also loved listening to music, playing the piano, photography and computers. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Janet Cantrell. His nieces are Katie and Kelli Cantrell; his nephew is Daniel Cantrell. There is an extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mckoon.com.  McKoon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
