McMillan, Reames
VALDOSTA — Jena Lucinda McMillan of Fitzgerald became the bride of Donald Jeffrey Reames of Valdosta August 1, 2009 at High Noon Farms in Valdosta with Mike Wells officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jana and James McMillan of Byron. Maternal grandparents are Wilma and the late Ira Brigmond of Ambrose. Paternal grandparents are Leola and the late Lawton McMillan of Alapaha.
The groom is the son of Anita Reames and the late Don F. Reames of Valdosta. Maternal grandparents are the late Doris G. and Robert L. Elder Jr. Paternal grandparents are the late Mary Alice and Louis Randolph Reames.
The couple had an outdoor ceremony under an arbor hewn from 150-year-old wood at High Noon Farms. The arbor was covered with blooming wisteria and draped with chiffon.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory silk strapless gown. She wore an elbow-length veil trimmed in satin ribbon and carried a bouquet of ivory and blush roses hand-tied with ivory ribbon.
The Matron of Honor was Carmen Henderson from Tifton, friend of the bride. She wore a black tea length A-line dress and carried a bouquet of ivory and blush roses hand-tied with ivory ribbon.
Serving as best man was Brad Reames, brother of the groom.
A luncheon reception followed the ceremony. The couple went to Jade Mountain in St. Lucia for their honeymoon.
The couple lives in Valdosta where the groom is employed at Reames & Son Construction Company.
