PINE MOUNTAIN — Dr. Haley Anne Hydrick and Dr. Charles Larry Clark Jr. exchanged wedding vows May 30, 2009 during an evening ceremony held at the John A. Sibley Horticulture Center in Callaway Gardens. The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Dick Shirling Hydrick of Baconton and is the granddaughter of Mrs. Lavert Parks and the late Wallace Parks of Ty Ty and the late Frances and Larry Prince of Tifton. The bridegroom is son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Larry Clark of Albany and is the grandson of Mrs. Margaret Owens, the late Marion Pope “Dutch” Owens and the late Eloise and James Clark, all of Albany.
The Rev. William Powell of Columbus presided over the 6:30 p.m. ceremony. Flowers were designed by James Mitchum at Details of the Garden. Music for the ceremony was provided by the Columbus State College string quartet and soloist, Mrs. Jonathan Lawson.
Bridal attendants included matron of honor, Holly Hydrick Waldrep of Cairo, sister of the bride, and friends of the bride, Anna Pardee Curington of Atlanta, Dr. Elizabeth Pirkle Rasor of Columbia, S.C., and Kay Pritchard Ulmer of Bluffton, S.C.
The groom’s best men were Charles Larry Clark Sr. and Owen James Clark, father and brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Martin Bloch Clark and Davis Benjamin Clark, brothers of the groom, and friends of the groom, Justin Lamar Jones of Albany, Robert Edward Kinney of Tallahassee, Fla., and Dr. William Joel McAfee of Minneapolis, Minn. Ushers included Scott James Burson of Cartersville, Daniel Miles Dunstan of Augusta, John Stephen Haynes of Cornelia, Casey Charles Oosterveen of Sasser, Joseph Wesley Shiver Jr. of Albany, Dr. Jeffrey Rogers Singleton of Albany, Clinton Wright Walters of Atlanta and Michael Keith Waldrep of Cairo, brother-in-law of the bride. The niece and nephew of the bride, Waverly Claire Waldrep and Cutter Wyatt Waldrep served as flower girl and ring bearer.
RECEPTION
The reception was held at the Sibley center garden where guests were entertained by the band Sir Laurence and First Class. Following the rehearsal the previous evening, the parents of the groom hosted a dinner at Carriage and Horses restaurant where music was provided by Chad McGrath and Glen Tennyson of the Kinchafoonee Cowboys.The couple traveled to Costa Rica for their honeymoon and are now at home in Albany.
