Devils host “white-out” against Wayne
The Tift County Blue Devils have added an extra attraction for their Saturday basketball game against the Wayne County Yellow Jackets. The school has asked fans to wear white to the game to show their support for the teams.
Fans are also requested to bring canned or non-perishable food item to the game to support families in need.

Diamond Exposure will have December Holiday Hitting Camp from Dec. 20-21. The camp is open for players aged 8-18.
Hall of Fame? It's time, says AD
The idea of having an Athletic Hall of Fame at the Tift County High School Performing Arts Center resulted in a lengthy discussion at Tuesday night’s Tift County Board of Education meeting.
Athletic Director Rusty Smith said he and others are proposing a Tift County Athletic Hall Fame. He said they travel to other schools that have a Hall of Fame, but Tift County doesn’t have one.

Results posted for Kiwanis Run for the Kids
The ninth annual Kiwanis Run for the Kids was held recently Dec. 7 in conjunction with the Tifton Hometown Holidays Christmas Celebration. On a soggy day with Christmas music blaring, 72 runners from 11 towns and two states participated in the 5K run and many participated in the 1 mile fun run/walk. Cash prizes were given to the overall male and female winners and master’s winners. Christmas tree prizes donated by local businesses and long sleeve T-shirts were given to all of the participants and all children in the 1 mile received medallions.
Tiftarea falls to Westfield
Playing their fourth games in five days, the Tiftarea Academy Panthers gave everything they had, but fell short in a pair of games against the Westfield Hornets Tuesday night.

Tift swimmers win Blue Devil Invitational
Both Tift County Blue Devil swim teams won the Blue Devil Invitational Saturday at Darton College and also won the combined championship.
Basketball season finally starts for Indians
By December, nearly everyone has an indication of what the year is going to bring. That is, unless that team is the Irwin County Indians. They only made their regular season debut against Echols County Tuesday night, thanks to the lateness of the football season. They play again Friday at home against Lanier County.
