Candidates for Athlete of Week announced

— Kaream Hess, Nick Williams and Corey Taylor are the candidates for this week’s The Tifton Gazette Athlete of the Week.
Hess, a running back for the Tift County Blue Devils football team, ran for over 100 yards and two touchdowns in the first half against the Warner Robins Demons Saturday.
Williams, a freshman running back for the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane football team, ran for two second-half touchdowns in a 14-10 win over Thomasville Friday. He ran for 85 yards on 20 carries.
Taylor, another running back for Fitzgerald, ran for 71 yards on 11 carries against Thomasville.
