Can Berrien High keep it up? I think so.

By Kyle Dean/Sports Editor

TIFTON -- The 2008 high school football regular season is just about halfway complete, and every area team is in action tonight.

In fact, all eight Tiftarea teams will play a region game tonight.

Berrien Rebels at Albany High Indians

What can I say about the job Ryan Branch and staff are doing in Nashville? It's no mystery with this pick; Albany is not good and Berrien is much better than they were just one year ago. The Rebels will be 4-0-1 when the dust settles at Hugh Mills Stadium.

Berrien High 22, Albany High 9

Twiggs County Cobras at Turner County Rebels

Twiggs is usually a very good team in Class A, and both teams currently are 3-1. But Twiggs' defense gave up 63 points to a spread team last week in Wilcox County. Although I do not think Turner will score 63, I think they will have enough points on the board at the end of the game to win.

Turner County 31, Twiggs County 22

Hawkinsville Red Devils at Irwin County Indians

This could be a very entertaining game in Ocilla. If you check out common opponents, Irwin and Hawkinsville were both shut out by Fitzgerald by similar scores. I think the Red Devils escape Ocilla with a win.
