The team was coached by John Hicks, Robert Pritchett and Stephen Williams.

“They played hard and represented Tifton real well,” TCRD Program Manager Eric Bozeman said.

In Cordele, the TCRD 10-and-under girls softball team fell in District 3 play with a 21-6 loss to Lee County on Tuesday.

The team opened up with an 8-1 victory over Thomasville on Monday and later that day was defeated by Moultrie, 9-4 to send the team to the loser’s bracket.

Team members included Abby Applewhite, Madison Carrington, Summer Carter, Vanity Golson, Alana Griffin, Hannah Gunter, Katelyn Hancock, Chandler Mathis, Katalyn McKoon, Katie Spears, Macy Strenth, Jordyn Sumner and Madison Robinson, and the team was coached by Jamie Hancock and Chad Mathis.
