Your Opinion: Thanks Fun Run volunteers

— A big thank you to everyone that participated in the 8th annual Kiwanis Hometown Celebration 5K/1 mile Fun Run on Dec. 1! We are promoting physical fitness in the community and to highlight Tifton’s historic district. We also raised much needed money for our local youth charities including but not limited to: Special Olympics, The Kiwanis Art and Talent Showcase for local students, scholarships for ABAC and Moultrie Tech students, the Kiwanis Fishing Rodeo for local youth, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, YMCA programs, Tomorrow’s Leaders program, Tift Co. Recreation teams and more.

We want to thank our numerous sponsors for their monetary support. Bronze level contributors were Branch’s Veterinary Clinic; Colquitt EMC; Greg Crumley with Crumley and Associates; Frank Davis; Lynn Lovett with Georgia Power; Hal Harper with Harper Financial Group; Hal and Tina Henderson; Don Jordan; Kelly and Johnson Law Firm; Aubrey Mixon; the Rev. We want to thank our numerous sponsors for their donations to our Christmas tree used as prizes for our Fun Run participants.
