Rants & Raves - June 29

TIFTON —

Army veteran here --combat veteran. My brothers and sisters who performed support roles during our time at war have my respect and loyalty for doing their duty. I don't begrudge them anything they have been rewarded. Same for the crews who serviced the A-10's and Apaches. You made it possible to kill the enemy we could not see --you had our back. Veterans are one of the quietest groups you'll ever encounter. And we see the fear, greed, and failure to commit to a common cause. You'd better pray we never get the ambition to rule.

I want to give Payne Electric a big rave. My AC unit just stopped working. My husband works in the heat all day and I  try to have it cool when he comes home. Well, thanks to Bruce, my AC is working great. Thanks so much for fixing my unit after hours.

Shout-out to The Bistro at 219 in downtown Tifton for having live entertainment and to the young singer, Bailey, who has great guitar/vocal talent.  Good food, great service and the live entertainment makes for a fun, enjoyable night.

All the Publix employees are outstanding, and I would like to give special thanks to the nice young men who work in the Deli.  One is named Alex.  I guarantee he will brighten your day and lift your spirits!

Kudos to The Tifton Gazette for the Camp Chula story on last Sunday’s front page. The kids had a great time and learned a lot. Small town churches have much to offer especially at Chula. This congregation loves kids and welcomes all who want to worship.

I would like to rave about ATT serviceman, Jimmy Davis. He was very knowledgeable, experienced, courteous and gave no excuses! He was willing to work until the problem was fixed. Customer service at its best!  Thanks Jimmy and ATT.
