Rant and Raves for November 18
Well done
“This is a BIG RAVE for Tift Regional Medical Center — All the way from the ER to the ICU ward. My wife had a mild heart attack Friday morning and everyone has done a super job taking care of her. Thanks, TRMC, for a job well done.”
A long way
“This is a huge rave for the Big Store and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Dill for stepping up and helping Santa's Bags. Donna Tillman and her daughter do a lot for Tifton, and your kindness goes a long way.”
The greatest
“This is a rave for the competition cheerleading coach at TCHS, Tara Miller. You are the greatest and we send out all our love and support to you. What comes around goes around!!!!!!!”
Coming home
“Sending Peaches to the three new members of the local Bar. They attended local public schools, Georgia colleges and returned to Tifton to live and raise families. Welcome home, good luck, hopefully this will encourage others to do the same.”
Small business?
“Matt Towery said in his column on Saturday that he is cutting his employees’ salaries ‘20 or 30 percent’ to preempt a hypothetical 3 percent increase of his personal income. This increase may, or may not, be implemented in two to three years. Mr. Towery is the CEO of Insider Advantage, the CEO/Chairman of Internet News Agency, the owner/publisher of James Magazine, and the chairman of Georgia Trend Magazine. The largest advertiser for these companies is the lobbying firm Troutman Sanders Strategies (rated #1 in Georgia by James Magazine.)”
